As English is the international language of the aviation industry, we require applicants to harbor a reasonable level of written and spoken English. A basic knowledge of flying in a simulator is required.
NVirtual pilots are expected to be proficient in English and be familiar with the basics of aviation including, but not limited to; radio communication, IFR navigation, reading and understanding charts, maps and other aviation documents). Assistance and learning opportunities are available in our Community Forum and Facebook Group.
Minimum Requirements

- One of the following Flight Simulators is required:
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 (FS2004)
- Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX)
- Flight Simulator: Steam Edition (FSX:SE)
- Laminar Research X-Plane
- Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v1
- Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v2
- Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v3
- Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v4
- Our flight tracking software (STARTrax) requires one of the following operating system to be available (simulator can run on a different computer):
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Microsoft Windows 8
- Microsoft Windows 10
- A valid and working email address.
- Availability to complete your first flight within 30 days.
- One of the following Flight Simulators is required:
